Air France is France's flag carrier and, as part of the Air France-KLM Group, one of Europe's largest airline groups by revenue. The airline operates from its Paris Charles de Gaulle hub to over 200 destinations worldwide, with a particular strength in routes to Sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean (French overseas territories), and North America. Air France is a founding member of the SkyTeam alliance, enabling seamless connections with Delta, KLM, Korean Air, China Airlines, and 15+ other carriers.
Air France's long-haul business class (Business) and La Première first class are genuinely exceptional products, and the airline's food and wine service on intercontinental routes reflects France's culinary reputation. On European routes, the experience is more standard but reliable. Flying Blue, the Air France-KLM loyalty program, is well-regarded for its ability to redeem miles on both airlines as well as Delta and other SkyTeam members. Paris CDG, while large, is an exceptionally well-designed airport for connections, and Air France's frequent flyer lounge network (Salon) is extensive.
Air France recently introduced Light fares without checked bags, mirroring the budget airline model. Standard fare with one bag is recommended for most travelers.
